Shakhboz Akhmedov is the Head of the Knowledge, Projects and Resource Management unit of the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC), based in Almaty, Kazakhstan and also Manager of the Innovations and Scientific Research Cluster. He is also responsible for strategic development, knowledge management and partnerships in these corporate settings.
He used to be a Project Development Coordinator for the Regional Environmental Centre for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) from 2013 to 2015 and also worked for GIZ on project development and fundraising as a Project Assistant for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (International Unit).
He earned his Master’s Diploma in Organizational Leadership from the Said Business School, University of Oxford, UK and Master’s degree from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy, Germany. His academic circuit started with Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Uzbekistan.
