Twenty-two years of experience in environmental and public governance fields, with analytical ability and expertise covering the areas of conservation and sustainable use natural resources, Ecosystem based adaptation and mitigation, Public administration and governance, strategic programme/project design, community-based resource management, environmental economics and green economy, cleaner production and strategic environmental management, international policy and cooperation.

Several managerial positions and leadership in a variety of multi-disciplinary project design, implementation, and coordination (Manager level 2) of teams at national and international levels, including in Georgia, Moldova, Russia. Direct experience in resource mobilization, including experience of working with vertical funds, such GEF, Adaptation and Green Climate Funds, bilateral trust funds. Knowledgeable on international environmental agenda and processes in the UNECE region, as well as MEAs implementation process. Former Member of UNECE committee on environmental policy and Co-chairman of OECD Environmental Action Programme Task Force for Eastern European countries.

Mr. Arzumanyan hold MSs degree in Biology and Chemistry from Yerevan State University, as well as MSs in Environmental Management and Policy from the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at Lund University in Sweden.
