He is the a National Focal Point of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the National Focal Point of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), an designated authorized official of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Adaptation Fund (AF) of Uzbekistan. He made a great contribution to the preparation of national communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan on climate change within the framework of the UNFCCC.
Before being appointed First Deputy Director General of Uzhydromet, he worked as a Deputy Director of the Scientific Research Hydrometeorological Institute for scientific work, and previously as Head of the Laboratory for Surface Water Quality Research of the Department of Research and Prediction of Environmental Pollution of the Scientific Research Hydrometeorological Institute.
